Monday 2nd September – College Athletics
Monday 9th September – back up day in case of inclement weather In the event of inclement weather on Monday 2nd September, parents will receive a communication that the event has been cancelled and that normal classes will be in operation. If this occurs, we have a back up day scheduled for Monday 9th September Students need to arrive at Proclamation Park by 9:00am. Students will be dismissed from Proclamation Park at the completion of the program and following a quick clean up. This will be sometime between 2:40pm and 3:00pm. Students will be the given the opportunity to sign up for a range of events during House Assemblies in the lead up to the Athletics Carnival. These are used to assist in the organisation of the day but students are encouraged to compete in additional events if they choose to on the day. As well as competitive track and field events there will also be a number of novelty events. All students are expected to attend as this event is part of the Heathmont College calendar. Failure to do so will be regarded as an unexplained absence. Any student needing to leave the event early must have parent/guardian consent via Compass or alternatively be signed out at the venue by a parent/guardian. A canteen will be open on the day serving a limited range of hot food, snacks and drinks. Students are encouraged to bring their own food and drink. |
