Catalogue
Our Access-it Library catalogue allows students and staff to discover a diverse range of resources (text, audio and eBooks) to enhance their studies and personal interests. Our library space has a newly updated selection of non- fiction books, along with an extensive collection of fiction books which are constantly renewed to suit our users’ needs. We also have a variety of boardgames and puzzles. During recess and lunch breaks students can enjoy playing educationally based online games supported by the school’s IT access agreement.
Research
Within the library space, students have access to the schools’ wireless network for research purposes. Library services include access to Clickview. Used by 6,000 schools, Clickview makes it easy to find short, relevant videos to assist with learning.
Access-it, our library management system, is available to all via Compass. This LMS provides extensive online resources facilitated through the Wheelers ePlatform, giving students access to fiction and non- fiction eBooks and audiobooks. This system also provides the school community information on ways to navigate its way within the physical library space to find a suitable resources.
This helps to develop skills which assist in customising resources needed to carry out research independently and effectively.
Hours
The Learning Resource Centre (or LRC) is open from 8.30am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, this includes recess and lunchtime.
