The Global Youth program, organised by DET, Melbourne University and the Asia Education Foundation. The program connects students in Victoria with their peers in Indonesia and across the Asia-Pacific region. As education changes, technology has removed distance as a barrier, letting students learn and grow globally. In this program, students can connect with international peers, gaining valuable insights and building connections beyond borders. Students are also able to use their Indonesian skills when collaborating with students from Indonesia.

The program focuses on deepening students’ understanding of global citizenship by exploring contemporary challenges and proposing actionable solutions. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, students will engage in activities designed to address these challenges.

The program includes two online sessions in school and a final face-to-face session at Melbourne University.  At the conclusion of the program, students will present their projects and celebrate their achievements with peers from Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region, showcasing their learning journey and collaborative efforts.
